BUSHFIRES

Every year many Australians are affected by bushfires that tear through each state. For the past ten years Victorians have witnessed some of the driest conditions on record. Due to these conditions the bushfire threat is extreme. Last year due to low rainfalls the bushfire season started in September 2007 and lasted until April 2008. Unfortunately this year is no exception, with lower rainfall than last year the bushfire threat is almost imminent.

As a community member you need to be aware what to do if a bushfire does hit, and how you can prepare your self for up and coming fire season.
