Clematis is a Volunteer fire brigade, all of it's members are drawn from the community.
Becoming a CFA Volunteer is an excellent and rewarding way to assist your community. You can develop excellent relationships whilst learning some important life skills.
Clematis is always looking for new members to come and join our team.
Because Clematis is such a small brigade each member is an important part of the team. The Clematis Fire Brigade and it's members pride themselves on the reputation of being a friendly brigade. We have members who live in Clematis, Emerald, Macclesfield and Menzies Creek, you do not have to live in Clematis to come and join the brigade.
If you are looking for a career within the Fire Industry Clematis is the perfect place for you, we currently have members who are Professional Fire Fighters within the industry who are always willing to lend a hand to other people who are looking at a career as a fire fighter.
Regular brigade training is held on a Wednesday night from 7:30pm.
Operational Fire Fighters are fully trained under the Public Safety Training Package, which are recognized Australia wide. A basic Wildfire Firefighter course is the first step but once completed the opportunities to undertake more courses are endless. Much of the training is conducted within the Dandenong Ranges.
All training is accredited to a nation standard and includes skills that can be used in the workplace.
